We the People Don't Measure Up

It seems I'm always reading about how the United States doesn't measure up well with the rest of the world. We're not smart enough or too fat. And now reader Jerry sends me this piece of news that we can't even drown or mediocre tears in our beers at a high standard. The United States ranks a sorrowful sixth in the world with 4.4 bottles of beer per person per week. Thankfully, my German and Scotch-Irish heritage improves my personal beer quotient.

Well, the UK may be ahead of us, but they drink it warm. Blegh!

If I am drinking 318% of "average" does that indicate a potential issue?

It's the Bell Curve Sean, you are just helping out those on the other end of the spectrum; picking up teh slack if you will....Humanitarian I'd say....

I'm sorry, I'm bringing down the curve. But just wait until Norah is done nursing...then I'll help bring that average up a few brews a week!
