September receded into the scrotum-shrinking breeze with a brisk three-miler last night. Northeast Ohio offered its first frost warning of the new season, which meant I had to bundle up for my run with a long-sleeve technical shirt, my ultra-light windbreaker, and shorts.
Here is September's statistical rundown:
- Total Miles: 137 miles (20 runs)
- Highest Weekly: 43 miles
- Average Weekly: 32 miles
- Average Pace: 9:16.57 per mile
- Longest/Fastest Run: 26.2 miles, 9:21 pace
- The Monthly Dif: -29 miles (166 miles in August)
This month featured two races, the
Buckeye Half Marathon and the
Akron Marathon, which you may have already heard about. September was a good month, but now it is over. Welcome October, ye of no planned races and holiday of mass consumption. I like you already. Cheers!

Oktoberfest, football, comfort food, and scrotum-shrinking breezes. Gotta love the fall.
Bring on the candy and pumpkins!
Fall Beer Festivals!
your first sentence rocked.
yep, free candy and bad scary movies all month long...awesomeness.
So happy I don't have to worry about shrinking scrotums.
