Too Sick for Six

After the wedding we attended Saturday night, I woke up the next morning feeling unwell -- and not in the "maybe that shot of Tequila was a bad idea" kind of way. By Sunday evening my throat was sore and my body ached and my head felt like a leaden balloon.

Those six miles I had planned for the weekend went right into the waste bin like a used tissue.

My condition was worse yesterday, causing me to call in sick from work, despite being on deadline this week. I slept until about 1 p.m. before I needed to get some food. Chick-Fil-A made me feel loads better. Back at work today.

And hopefully, soon, back to running.

My goals for this week are four runs for 16 miles, with a long of seven miles and at least one trail run. I neglected to weigh myself, so we'll see where I am next week.

Who knew it was chick-fil-a and not chicken soup that did the trick?

Feel better--don't run until you do so that you can put it fully behind you.

I find running cures all illnesses. Why don't you find out if this is true for you?

uh oh..... I hope i didn't give this to you. I was hit hard that night before the reception. Still trying to shake it. Blegh.
