Flashback Friday: The Move

This morning, Mrs. Viper loaded up her car with boxes and headed to the new house. Today, the couch and mattress will be delivered. After work, I pick up the rental truck. Tonight will be our first time sleeping in our new home. Tomorrow morning, the recruits arrive. By Saturday night, everything will be moved.

This has been a long week, but it will all be over soon. The move is upon us. The streak is still alive, but I hope to break it soon with a run around my new neighborhood.

Although we're moving less than half of a mile from the apartment, there will be a whole new selection of running routes to explore. Some of my old standbys will remain in play, but I'll be closer to some new areas that promise to provide good miles.

Speaking of which, it's December, and I have yet to provide a recap of November's mileage. Here is last month's statistical rundown:
  • Total Miles: 24 miles (7 runs)
  • Total Time: 4:11:02
  • Highest Weekly: 9 miles
  • Average Weekly: 6 miles
  • Average Pace: 10:40/mile
  • The Monthly Dif: +1 mile (23 miles in November)
Even without running the last two weeks, I still managed to show improvement (i.e., increases) in four categories compared to last month's numbers.

Back Talk
Wherein we remain classy, as always.

Sun Runner lights a candle rather than cursing her darkness: "Oh, man ... I want to make a joke about 'christening' and 'bed frame' but I won't because I'm classy."

Answer: We can't christen the bed frame until there's a mattress on it -- that is to say, not until tonight.

Happy Hour is nearly upon us, teammates! Have a finely brewed weekend. Run well and drink well. Cheers!

Good luck bro! Moving sucks, I don't care how far you have to go. Hope nothing breaks.

I want to say "Happy Moving" but the act usually does not bring a smile to one's face, whereas the end result does. Regardless, may your planning be excellent and your move be swift.

Congrats on the new home! The main milestone is drinking a good beer after the move is complete.
