This new month promises the official start of Spring, which should make running more fun. Until then, here is February's statistical rundown:
- Total Miles: 22 miles (five runs)
- Highest Weekly: 11 miles
- Average Weekly: 5.5 miles
- Average Pace: N/A (no watch used)
- Longest/Fastest Run: ~4 miles @ ~10:00 pace
- The Monthly Dif: -4 miles (26 miles in January)
Although the Enthusiast uses her running app on her Android phone, I'm still not paying much attention to time except to signal the next walk break.

March of Dims? I thought this was going to be a post about a Viper family reunion.
Time to up that mileage. Weather be damned!
Your numbers will surely rise this month. You don't want the Enthusiast to leave you in the dust at the 1/2, do you?
You're not givign the state of Ohio much of a ringing endorsement this time of year!
I was glad to see March begin. Longer long runs and more mileage await, and so does better beer drinking weather.
At least you didn't make some lame excuse and blame your "coach" *cough* Nitmos *cough*
Daylight savings time in less than 2 weeks and then spring is right around the corner.
Since I recently have taken on a running routine and need some tips, I think you need a section on your blog for the "Dear Viper" letters. : )
Nitmos wins this comment thread.
The Engineer prodded me to get a running app for my iPhone so now I use that *and* my beloved Garmy. Yes, at the same time. Too much?
A big yay! to the Enthusiast for moving ahead with her training during a VERY difficult and crappy northern Ohio winter!
