Odd Sensations

There's the peculiar sensation in my calves. My abdominals, chest and shoulders have it too. The feeling is not unlike pain, but duller and with a sort of tiredness to it. I noticed the foreign perception this morning when I oozed out of bed.

Could this have something to do with the three miles I ran yesterday morning? Or the push-ups and sit-ups I did afterward? Or the short run to the bank and back to deposit a check?

Nobody told me that my body would feel like this if I ran only 10 miles last month and then decided to get back to the world of fitness by engaging my body in activities I've avoided for more than a week. It's been even longer for the push-ups and sit-ups.

Maybe I can make a habit of this exercise stuff.

The 12- to 16-ounce curls you've been doing haven't been enough?

Whoa, if you only did 10 miles last month, that averages to 2.5 miles per week. You should only increase your weekly mileage by about 10% or - in your case - about .25 miles for this week. See? You upped by .50 miles. You over did it.

Nah. It's never good to form habits.
