Rest Days Are the Best Days

It almost seems silly to take a rest day after all the not running I've done lately, but it was chilly and windy and I chose not to run. Today's forecast is much more appealing. And it gives me some separation between that surprisingly fast run yesterday and that vicious hill I plan on running today.

Change Your Vote
Clearly, you made a mistake, but it's not too late to fix it. Jess and MCM Mama have erroneously gained the lead in the final stretches of the Last Mile Brewing Virtual Halfathon. But if you go to the voting page, you can correct this trend by changing your vote to me as you intended (that's Viper, folks, V-I-P-E-R). It's OK, I understand that these things sometimes happen.

Perhaps the reading level was much lower than anticipated. Thanks for clearing up the spelling.

Man, I just went to the results page and saw that MCM Mama is edging me out! Damn her! Oh well, if she wins, she would probably use a long-sleeved shirt a lot more than I would.

Oh, and I voted for you.

Kidding.

Of course, I voted for myself!

If rest days are good then I must be friggin fantastic. I have taken the last three as rest days. Brrrr freakin cold and windy here in Michigan. Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow....has been my mantra for the week. Tomorrow I run, bike and golf then watch the Red Wings kick some serious Shark tail while I celebrate the day with a beverage in frosty mug.

Wind and cold will necessate a rest day just about every time.
