Just to Reiterate

I had a plan to run 32 miles last week. A certain reader said he'd eat his hat if I ran that far. I ran that far. This is not the first time I've been challenged and won. Victory rules.

It didn't come easy. I ran every day from Tuesday to Saturday, two consecutive days of seven miles, a four-miler, a six-miler and finally an eight-miler.

I haven't broken 30 miles in a week since the week of the Akron Marathon. Last week's tally was just two miles shy of my highest weekly mileage this year (34 miles).

I celebrated my diligence this weekend with two parties, imbibing as much of the holiday spirit as my palate could withstand.

Mile Tracker 1,000: Still 66 miles to go.

Jeez, I try to help you out by throwing you some motivating comments and this is the thanks I get? Sure, I might have said something about eating my hat, but it's just an expression. No one really thinks you're actually going to eat your hat.

Oh, and that picture below is copyrighted. You're so going to hear from my lawyer.

Vanilla is not good at betting. Trust me.

Now if you can just pull together a couple of 33 mile weeks, you'll have your 1000 on the year. it's amazing to be that close, dude!

That's some great mileage, definitely deserving of some "holiday spirit."

If Vanilla doesn't eat his hat at least you should get to virtually deface it.

You say you ran 32 miles this week. You say that was two miles short of the most you've ever run in a week. You then inform us that that weekly record was 34 miles.

Thanks for doing the math for us, because this equation had me stumped. I was using every conceivable body part available to me to figure this problem out, and I couldn't get past 21. (Though getting to 21 was kinda enjoyable.)

Would you mind pre-chewing my food for me?

You want me to respect your alleged intelligence?

Congrats on pulling this feat. Viper.. there is 16 more days left till 2009. This mean you will need to run 4 miles for sixteen (16) consecutive days for a total of 1,000 miles. You can do it.

Well that made my measly 15 miles last week seem awful slackerish in comparison. But congrats on an awesome running week. Good luck with the rest of the miles!
