I Need a Haircut

April showers bring May showers. It feels like November rain. Cleveland needs to win two in a row or this season is over. They canceled my 10-K. Prodigal son may not return. Not for a measly 5-K. Speaking of which. My 5-K is two and a half weeks away. No speed work. Lots of hill work. I have yet to approach a pace worthy of a personal best. The race has two long downhills and one long uphill. I feel ready for that. Cleveland Marathon is this weekend. I won't be there again this year. That is all.

Hill work is speed work in disguise. Put some shoes on and hit the track to open your stride. I believe you'll be surprised.

I've been complaining about needing a haircut for weeks. I'd officially be creeped out right now by all our similarities if it weren't for the glaring differences--gender, drink preference and mathematical capability.

I feel better now.

I have to say that, for Cleveland's sake, I hope the Cavs make it. Amazing how close the teams have been so many times and not made it. On the other hand, the city may go up in flames if you win!

You've made your own running sandals. I assumed you needed a haircut. And a job.

They cancelled the 10K part? The cool thing about that race was being able to do both for the extra miles...that and the awards were glasses

I need a haircut too. Do you suffer form split ends as well?

I've been tired lately... started out my speedwork yesterday energetically but could barely hit my goal paces in the 2nd half of my workout... and I've felt like not running. I think it's the rain and the 50-degree weather (which is great for running, but I'm in a funk). I agree with David. Hillwork is the same as speedwork. You'll be in good shape, no worries. You should sign up for the Steamtown marathon this October one state over in PA. Always yields lots of BQ times... good luck in the 5K!

P.S. I need a haircut, too. and remember my theory that Ryan Hall could have won Boston if his hair hadn't been so big and caused so much wind resistance... get a haircut before your 5K!

Go Cavs! I hope they have mirrors in the Boston locker room. Lebron needs to look at himself pretty damned hard...
