Northeast Ohio has experienced a sudden onset of unexpected sunlight. For the past few days, nary a cloud has blurred the blue sky. And now the weather satellites are expected to deliver temperatures of ridiculousness at above 50 degrees. Have you ever heard of such lunacy?
Of course, rain is in the forecast from Wednesday through eternity. That's to keep us honest and humble. Until then, we shall soak in Vitamin D-rich sun.
I knew running would be difficult to fit in this past weekend, as the Enthusiast and I traveled to the Great White North in search of ethnic booze and dancing (her ethnic, not mine). Therefore, before Happy Hour could begin on Friday, I leaped out the back door for an hour run.
The sky, as I already said, was clear, but the sun was quickly setting. I started off down a hill and the shadows swallowed me whole as I ran north. I made a westward turn, not to grow up with the country, but to chase down that bright yellow orb in the cosmos. Helios' chariot was too fast for me on this day.
Perhaps today I will bath is the sun's golden rays for a short run with Dobson. But Razz's 666 race and my challenge to BFJ will have to wait until tomorrow, when I don't have to get home to take care of the pooch.

Maybe I have just forgotten, but 50 and rainy seems better than what we've had some days this winter... for now, we must enjoy this sun:)
Isn't the warmer weather great? I ran in shorts yesterday. Nothing better than a little taste of spring after all this winter nastiness.
All that sun and 40-ish temperatures weren't enough to melt the vast piles of snow which greeted me at the Towpath Trail on Saturday morning. I walked from the parking lot to the trail, took a look, said, "No thanks" (well, in reality, it was more like "no fucking way") and immediately drove the 25 minutes home.
You could have at least warned me! :)
I'll take 50 degrees and rain. For awhile, at least.
I remember those days in Ohio when the sun and warm weather starts to peek their heads out after winter. Glad to hear you got to run a bit and enjoy them.
go man! go! 50 degrees???
We are a little shy of the 50 mark but it is decent, even way up here in Michigan. I actually got my tri bike out for a short ride on Saturday. It was only 36 degrees without the windchill of my speedy venture, but I was loving it none-the-less.
You can thank me, Vipes, for bringing some sunshine back from India. I also brought back a tan. : )~
Hello, sunshine..it is so nice to see you again!! I am loving it:)
Sounds like spring has sprung there!
I'll tell you right now, I won't be going for time.
BFJ
What is this sun thing everyone is talking about?
We're getting eternal rain too, so I feel your pain. But still, it's better than sub-zero with a wind off the lake.
