I Can See Clearly Now

I'm on a roll with these reviews. Might as well keep going. After all, a rolling stone gathers no moss, right Keith Richards?

Today, we have the Echo Kit motorcycle glasses -- another recent gift.

Wait a minute. Motorcycle glasses? you ask.

Yes, I subscribe to the Whatever Works School of Thought, and these lightweight, rubberized frames are just what I'm looking for in running sunglasses.

Additionally, I wanted yellow-tinted lenses because I find them most versatile (good for blocking glare from the sun or snow without reducing visibility). The Echo Kit features interchangeable lenses, providing all the versatility I could ask for with three tints: "Super Dark," yellow and clear.

The wraparound frames provide good visibility and blocks out wind. The glasses fit snugly without being too tight, and the conforming fit reduces bouncing. Also, I look totally rad in them.

The lenses are a bit difficult to swap, and there were no instructions on how to do so. I felt like I was going to break the frames as I tried to remove the lenses. However, once I figured it out, it was easy. Clue: Pull the lenses from the nose, not the temples.

The glasses come with a padded carrying case with individual housing for the frames and the additional lenses.

Now, if only I could get some daylight to run in so I can wear them more often.

Booze Hound Rating: 4 fingers, on the rocks

[Drunkard's note: The Booze Hound rating system is based on a good pour. Up to five fingers, either "on the rocks" or "neat." If you can't figure out what's good and what's bad, you need to spend more time drinking.]

looks like fun dude! we don't have to worry too much about glare from the snow, but i can see how the yellow lenses could be very handy. good gift!

You look 'totally rad' in them? Apparently they also enable time travel back to the 80s.

Crap. Another commercial. When does regular programming resume?

Why would you need "clear"?

hmmm. YOU think you look totally rad in them, huh? I think you need to post a picture of yourself in there so your blog readers can be the judge. I'm just saying....

also... on another note. I want a new toy for running - I want those Oakley sunglasses that have a built in mp3 player.

I have the same issue, though. Can't seem to run in daylight much. Even half of the Disney marathon was in darkness....

on another note, i'm ready for spring. or maybe even summer. I'm not usually wimpy about running in the cold but enough is enough.

okay. i'm done now. I think...

yeah.

Since you appear to be practicing your Half Fast-esque whoring skills, can we presume there will also be a review of your new furry running partner?
