On Pace and on Target? WT-the f#ck-F?

The well is dry. I have nothing to bitch about. This sucks.

I'm in the middle of my second week of marathon training, and there has been little drama beyond a slight hip tweak that has gone away and a sunburn that has not impeded my progress whatsoever. My mileage and pacing has been right in my target zone, as I prepare for my first pre-Akron Marathon tuneup, the Davey Tree/United Way of Portage County 10-K.

Beyond getting dragged into some half-assed vs. idiot slapfight, everything has been jake. Of course if you look to the right side of this blog, you'll notice I've only logged five miles so far this week. There is plenty of opportunity yet for some big fat, red FAILs or some other minor injury to crop up.

Tonight, for instance.

I'll be back tomorrow with a report from the Circle of Doom and a preview of the potential destruction headed my way this weekend. Meanwhile, gentle readers, you can continue planning your big to-do for Flag Day.

So you're not happy unless you have something to bitch about? Are you sure you're not a Red Sox fan? You'd fit right in.

So glad you remembered Flag Day. I've found it's one of the most under-appreciated holidays of all time.

Or something like that. Anyway, I hope no red FAILs appear for you.

Good to read your process. You can always fall back on Clev-burg sports for something to bitch about. FWIW: I used to listen to the Miracle in Richfield album on a record player. It says a lot when a sports "miracle" means losing in the conference finals.

I have to admit I have enjoying reading about the two girls cat fighting. The only part that pains me is that fact that I like Pandas

I hope your weekend destruction is of a boozy nature and not, say, a demolition derby or something.

Your 10K PR is only 50:00? You are so going to crush that at your next race. Have fun on the Death Oval.

P.S. Thanks for the Seinfeld reference.

We'll be running intervals with 150 of our closest friends on a high school track tonight.

That should lead to something for me to bitch about at least...

Hang in there, you'll find something to bitch about soon. I just know it.

This is a big "Flag Day" for you, isn't it? One of those ending in -0? Or am I off?

You could drop down to the half or abandon blogging all together and then start up again 3 days later. I'm just sayin'.

When I was a kid, and I complained I was bored, my mom would say, "You want something to do? I can FIND something for you to do!" And that usually involved some awful task like weeding the garden.

But, I feel I can apply her technique here: "You want something to bitch about? I can FIND something for you to bitch about!"
