I'm hoping that won't show up to bite me on race day.Ianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15875001377964050508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4667707830726423590.post-19242405843084325982008-05-21T11:02:00.000-04:002008-05-21T11:02:00.000-04:00The fact that I'm still giggling Beavis and Butthe...The fact that I'm still giggling Beavis and Butthead style at the word "fartlek" - you know I have nothing positive and/or productive to bring to the conversation :-).

heheeeheheheh fartlek.chiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08894616877610664580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4667707830726423590.post-22935108752474976442008-05-21T09:36:00.000-04:002008-05-21T09:36:00.000-04:00McMillan is a fraud as I've explained.Regarding th...McMillan is a fraud as I've explained.

Regarding the absence of a 20 miler in a potential plan, I know that is a theory circulating. I would suggest you consider whether you need it for mental if not physical preparedness. I, for one, need some mental assurance that I'm in good shape for at least 20 miles before I decide to go 26 on race day. I'd hate to show up and fade to black at 18 miles because, well, I just wasn't prepared for dealing with the fatigue.

Incorporate fartleks in your medium distance run each week. this has been my biggest speed booster...teaches speed and stamina while tiring.

Good luck.Nitmoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17108597328135023198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4667707830726423590.post-58514465153656828452008-05-20T17:04:00.000-04:002008-05-20T17:04:00.000-04:00The calculator says my marathon time should be 4:0...The calculator says my marathon time should be 4:06, so we'll see. If I can do that well, I may work on the sub-4 goal for Akron with you, as that race has really piqued my interest. Will keep you posted!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17100746061554733157noreply@blogger.com
