Flashback Friday: Steady Improvement

Although I'm still nowhere near fit enough to run as far as I'd like, June proved to be a decent month. My long runs have been focused on rough, hilly trails, and my shorter runs have mostly been barefoot. My breathing and pacing, which were a challenge early this month, have finally started to feel regulated.

Here's to hoping July continues the trend of improved running. And here is last month's statistical rundown:
  • Total Miles: 69 miles (12 runs)
  • Total Time: 13:10:17.5
  • Highest Weekly: 18 miles
  • Average Weekly: 17.25 miles
  • Average Pace: 11:27.21 (blame the hills)
  • The Monthly Dif: +16 miles (53 miles in May)
I've made a slight adjustment to the statistics shared here, getting rid of the "Longest/Fastest Run" category and replacing it with "Total Time." I don't know why that's relevant, but I'm interested to know how much time I spend running. Also, a curiosity: I ran 16 more miles with two fewer runs compared to last month.

Back Talk
Wherein we pine for free shit.

Razz was a bit jealous of my getting solicited to review gimmicky shoes: "I have no standards. DO YOU HEAR THAT SKETCHERS??? DO YOU?"

Answer: It'd probably help if you didn't have a New Balance shoe as your avatar--and if you spelled the company's name correctly.

Happy Hour is nearly upon us, teammates. Have a finely brewed weekend. Happy Independence Day! Run well and drink well. Cheers!

[Drunkard's note: Why are our northern neighbors trying to get all up in our Grillz with this Canada Day bull shit? Happy Canada Day? What's that even mean?]

I'm a northern neighbor and I don't celebrate Canada Day. What are you talking about? Is that where Tressel is these days?

I think Canada celebrates Canada Day as some sort of validation they are a real country!

Or they needed a three day weekend...
