A Week of Suck

Just nine more miles and I'll eclipse my January mileage, but you'd never know that I've been running much at all this month judging by last week's tally. I tasted more new beverages (four) than I ran miles (three).

Here's a quick recap and review of those new-to-me beverages:

Here's a quick recap and review of those pathetic miles:

I don't think I could drink a drink that smelled of cat piss. You're very brave.

I've noticed the Il Bastardo several times (because of the name) but I may have to pick one up and try it now.

I agree with Sarah - Stone's Arrogant Bastard would be good one for you (and it's a good beer as well). Have you had the 120 minute IPA from Dogfish Head? The hops on that one walk up and smack you. I'm more a fan of their Palo Santo Marron.

At least with low mileage you can try more beers than miles. I think I'd be dead if I drank more than I'm running these days.

"A Week of Suck". I was about to say congrats, what a stud. Then I pulled my head out of the gutter.

I'm curious what would compel you to try a drink that smelled like cat piss? However, I heartily approve of the Il Bastardo wine.

I've had the Bastardo. It's no Clos du bois, but it's decent enough.

Can you get the "Fat Bastard" wine down there in Ohio? I didn't find it exceptional or anything, but the name alone suggests one give it a try. (It's French, too.)

Now, go run already!

Heavy Seas (Clipper City Brewing Co.) Loose Cannon: Smelled like cat piss. Tasted slightly better.

This review tells us nothing since it begs the question of how one (specifically, you) would rate cat piss.
