Commercialism in a Wintry Economy

After a rousing negative split on Sunday, my legs were a tad sore yesterday. Like a one-beer buzz, it is a sensation I haven't felt in a long while. That being said, I didn't run yesterday. Instead I had a tiny taste of the end of the world. It was delicious. I intend to run tonight (insert something about paving the road to hell).

That entire paragraph was supposed to segue into these videos, but I really dropped the ball. Here are some funny booze-related commercials. They are magnifico!

Martini commercial with George Clooney

Guinness commercial with ... who cares?

The weather is pretending to cooperate these next couple of days, staying above zero all the way until the weekend. These positive temperatures are a welcome trend after a week in the negatives. If I'm lucky, I'll get in four runs and/or 20 miles this week.

Famous people and sex to sell booze? No way! What kind of genius advertising companies are these?

I'm praying for the weather to cooperate also.

Wimp. I ran last week when it was barely above zero. I have a much better excuse now for not running since Sunday.

@ Sarah - So you went out when the weather was bad last week and this week you're sick. Weird.

Oh, Viper. Don't you read my blog? I picked up a norovirus from my family. I run outside in cold temperatures all the time and it never affects me.
